Lotus Dragon

The lotus dragon which is also known as ‘Hundred Leaves Dragon’, is a dance that combines both lotus flowers and butterflies. Every lotus flowers are joined together by a band of nine bamboo splints to form the dragon’s body. The dance begins slowly with a light music that has a rhythm like the flow of the water. During the dance routine, when the two butterflies fly away from the dragon, the dance started to take a different rhythm. With a sudden change in music, the dragon dancers raised the dragon and soar towards the sky. The movements were swift and lifelike, which captures the audience and create an exciting ambience.
